Background/HIstory
Sydney is called Kate-Sydney by her half-French half- Scarfortian mother Ellen Shale, and by her grandmother of the same blood, Maurene Soldefrab.
Sydney comes from a French-Scarfortian revenge-loving, war-seeking family. She is cousins with Amber, and is the niece of Ellen's sister, Martha, the mother of Amber.
